Impact

Where capital and community grow together.

Our ecosystem is designed so that the return on capital and the return to the farmer move in the same direction.

Environmental

Tarka will proactively contribute in attaining at least nine UN Sustainable Development Goals, embedding climate-smart agriculture into how each asset class is farmed.

Social

Tarka’s alternative asset management ecosystem will directly impact the livelihoods and transform the lives of more than five million smallholder farmers in the coming years.

Governance

Tarka will help in generating employment, providing food and nutritional security, and advancing climate-safe agriculture.

Operations

Where the impact is being built.

Tarka operates in more than ten countries, produces more than fifteen crops, and is designed to reach smallholder farmers with less than two hectares of land — those trapped in the vicious debt cycle of agriculture.

  • Operating in 10+ countries — India, Benin, Zambia, Kenya, Malaysia, Indonesia, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Togo and Ivory Coast.
  • Producing 15+ crops — rice, maize, cassava, soybean, turmeric, cotton, oil palm, chilli, red gram, onion, tomato, millets, livestock, spices and vegetables.
  • Impacting 5+ million farmers — smallholders with less than two hectares of land.

Beyond agriculture

Employment. Food security. Climate-safe practice.

The impact of Tarka extends beyond agriculture — contributing to employment generation, providing food and nutritional security to the population, and embedding climate-safe practices in the value chain.
